Kaituna Rafting - Grade 5.
Experience the thrill of Whitewater rafting on the Kaituna River only 20 minutes from central Rotorua.
Join River Rats in an adrenalin rush that takes you down the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world. Fast and furious, this exhilarating ride moves you through foamy water and over the awesome seven metre drop.
The Kaituna Grade 5 is a trip that’s not for the fainthearted, so gather your partner, a few adrenalin- seeking friends or workmates or just yourself if everyone else is too scared and meet us at our base at 391 State Highway 33, Mourea.
15 minutes north east of Rotorua on State Highway 33 you will come to a sign 'Welcome to Mourea' at the bottom of the hill on the left you will see River Rats signs. If you prefer, we offer a complimentary pick up from central Rotorua.
Professional photographs are taken of each River Rats rafting trip and the Kaituna Grade 5 is suitable for all active people aged 13 years and over.
Kaituna River Grade 5 Trip times:
Summer (Beginning of labour weekend till Easter Monday):
9.00am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm
Winter (Tuesday after Easter Monday to Friday before labour weekend):
10.00am and 2.00pm
Complimentary pick up is available from central Rotorua accommodation approximately half an hour before the trip.
